Mental Health Day for Alternative Futures Group

Monday 17 November marks the day upon which Alternative Futures Group and its partners will focus their attention on delivering a strategy for mental health services that are fit for the future.

Our trustees, staff, commissioners, service users and their families will come together to discuss and debate the issues facing the sector today. Successes will be shared and challenges faced as we review our plans for the next five years.

We will hear from a service user what our vision – a world where people control their own lives – really means to them. And we are proud to have as guest speakers, Simon Rippon, North West Director of CSIP and John Boyington CBE, Chair of the Regional Commission on Mental Health Services - NHS North West, who will talk about mental health in the 21st century from the Government’s perspective.
