New Staff Partnership Launched
22 October 2008
The newly elected members of the Employee Partnership Forum met for the first time on Wednesday 8 October.
In the true spirit of partnership and equality, Alternative Futures Group has established a new Employee Partnership Forum. With members elected from across the organisation and with seats Unison and RCN representatives, the Forum is jointly chaired by the Chief Executive, Neil Campbell and Gill Beesley, Practice Development Coordinator, who was appointed at the meeting to the position of joint-chair by her fellow elected committee members.
The joint-chairs have equal access to the Board of Trustees in all matters pertaining to the Forum’s agenda and all members will be provided with personal development opportunities and training in the various skills that their role demands.
The next meeting of the Forum takes place on Wednesday 12 November when the elected members will agree and allocate their 'constituencies' so that all staff will be able to have their views heard through their respective representatives.
Neil Campbell, joint-chair and Chief Executive said 'this is an exciting step forward for the organisation. Once properly established, the Employee Partnership Forum will enable staff to be more fully engaged and involved than ever before in the way the organisation manages the issues and challenges it faces. The Forum also has the potential for management and staff to share success, celebrate achievements and co-create new opportunities. I am looking forward immensely to working with my fellow co-Chair, Gill, the elected members and of course our Trade Union partners.'
